European Parliament Member Manu Pineda; the president of the Communist Party of Spain, Jose Luis Centella; and the first vice president of the Party of the European Left, Maite Mola, shared viewpoints with Prensa Latina Vice President for Information Luisa Maria Gonzalez.
Prensa Latina is participating for the first time in the Fête de l’Humanité with a stand, thanks to the support from the Cuba Coopération France association, a space in which it exhibits its products and services.
Pineda highlighted the work of Prensa Latina, which was created in June 1959, a few months after the triumph of the Cuban Revolution, and his contribution to the battle to defend the peoples’ truth against the hegemonic ambitions of capitalism.
Jose Marti used to say that trenches of ideas are worth more than trenches of stones, and that is the importance of combat, Pineda told Prensa Latina at the stand.
According to the European lawmaker, the peoples and just causes must win the ideological and cultural struggle.
