The ministries with new heads are those of the Interior, Public Health, Higher Education, Public Works and Pharmaceutical Industry, and the position of General Secretary of the Presidency, which was previously held by Minister of Transportation Moundji Abdellah, who will be replaced by Minister of the Interior Kamel Beldjoud.
The appointment of new ministers is in no way surprising since President Tebboune announced it weeks ago as part of a natural renewal process.
The new Algerian cabinet will continue under the leadership of Prime Minister Aimen Benabderrahmane, while the important Foreign Ministry will remain in the hands of Ramtane Lamamra.
