Israeli fire kills Palestinian youth in West Bank town

Ramallah, Sep 8 (Prensa Latina) The Israeli army killed a Palestinian teenager during a raid into the village of Beitin, the fourth fatality so far since Monday in the occupied West Bank.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health said in a statement that the victim was shot at the entrance to the town, near the Beit Eil checkpoint.

Taher Muhammad Zakarneh, 19, was killed on Monday in another operation in the town of Qabatiya. Mohammad Musa Saba’na, 29, was shot dead in the city of Jenin on Tuesday, as well as Younis Ghassan Tayeh, 21, on Wednesday during a raid on the al-Fara’a refugee camp in the northeast West Bank.

So far this year, the Israeli armed forces military have killed numerous young Palestinians in different incidents in the West Bank.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, Israeli troops killed 355 people in the occupied territories in 2021 and wounded another 16,500, including elderly, women and minors.
