On Twitter, the Cuban embassy in the United Kingdom mourned the death of Queen Elizabeth II and extended its deepest condolences “to the Royal Family and the British people for this sad moment”.
The monarch was named as Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor and born in the London neighborhood of Mayfair on April 21, 1926, and she came to the throne in 1952, reigning for seven decades.
After her death, the crown immediately passed to her eldest son who became King Charles III at the age of 73.
