Israel’s systematic and deliberate attacks on civilian property, being the latest perpetrated on Aleppo international airport, constitute war crimes, and Tel Aviv must be held accountable under international law, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement posted on its Twitter account.
It considered that with this dangerous escalation, Israeli occupation authorities threaten regional peace and security and terrorize and endanger the lives of civilians.
These actions also threaten the safety of civil aviation in Syria and the entire region, the text asserted.
The Ministry reaffirmed that Damascus will exercise its legitimate right to defend its land and people by all necessary means.
Israel has perpetrated 23 attacks against Syria this year.
