Good part of weapons US supplies to Ukraine go missing

cajas-de-armas
Washington, Sep 7 (Prensa Latina) Less than 30 percent of all the matériel regularly sent by the United States to Ukraine reaches its destination, according to a documentary censored by the CBS network but broadcasted on digital media.

The material that was withdrawn from the television station due to its disagreements with the narrative of the government of President Joe Biden tries to deal with the “mystery” of the weapons that have gone missing in Ukraine.

The question posed by the ‘Arming Ukraine’ documentary makes is: “If only a tiny part of these weapons are received by their recipients, what happens to the rest?”

In April of this year, US officials admitted that they do not know the destination of the military aid sent periodically by Washington to Kiev since the beginning of Russia’s operation.

The United States has few ways to track the sizeable supply of anti-tank and anti-aircraft systems and other weapons moved across the border with Ukraine, a blind spot they justify with the absence of US troops in Ukraine, according to unnamed sources in a CNN report.

Biden’s administration considered that part of the missing gear may end up in the hands of other military and militias in the long term, but that is something they are willing to risk, the CNN reported.

The US government has delivered over 13.5 billion dollars in military aid to Ukraine since January 2021 after Biden arrived at the White House, according to data from the Department of Defense.
