In the first eight months of the year, the global situation showed a complicated development, particularly due to the fluctuation in oil prices, the impacts of climate change, and strategic competitiveness, among others, Minh Chinh said during a government meeting to assess the country’s socio-economic situation in August.
The head of Government said that economic growth, security, and social order were promoted during this period.
Minh Chinh acknowledged that there are still limitations and weaknesses in terms of public investment, the purchase of medicines, equipment, and medical supplies, planning, and other problems related to unconventional security.
He urged the participants at the meeting to raise their responsibility, predict the socio-economic situation, and propose appropriate solutions to successfully accomplish the tasks and goals set.
