Who is interested in killing Cristina? Whom does her leadership and presence represent a problem for?, Diosdado Cabello asked at a press conference.

Cabello expressed she went to be assassinated and that should be condemned by anyone around the world; that´s the hatred they have tried to inoculate across America.

On Thursday night, a 35-year-old Brazilian man pointed a gun at Cristina´s head, but fortunately the gun did not fire despite being loaded, an incident that has generated international condemnation.

According to Cabello, the killer´s phone was handed over to the FBI for investigation.

“We all know what will come out of it. Hopefully, they can investigate it,” Cabello emphasized.

We celebrate life and condemn violence wherever it comes from, we have lived it, with the assassination attempt on President Nicolás Maduro, Cabello recalled.

He stated the US State Department has written that it´s much better to eliminate leaders than to imprison them, that is why they killed President (Hugo) Chávez, he added.

Venezuelan authorities expressed their solidarity with Cristina Fernandez from the first moment and strongly rejected the assassination attempt.
