At 10:50 a.m. Afghanistan time, an extremist element set off an explosive device near the entrance to the embassy consulate, killing two Russian workers. There are also victims among Afghan civilians, the Foreign Ministry said.

The Russian embassy in Kabul is in close contact with security organs of the government led by the Taliban movement, which took power in Afghanistan back in August 2021.
