Taher Muhammad Zakarneh was brought to the hospital with a bullet lodged in his head, another in his right foot and a third in his left thigh, the Wafa news agency reported.

Another Palestinian was shot in the leg during the Israeli operation.

“This crime is part of the escalation of the occupation forces against our people,” denounced the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates in a statement.

The Foreign Ministry stressed that Tel Aviv’s actions will drag “the region into an endless cycle of violence.”

So far this year, the Israeli military has killed numerous young Palestinians in different incidents, including Amjad Fayed (17), Rafiq Riyad Ghanam and Lutfi Ibrahim Labadi (20), and Wasim Nasser Abu Khalifa (18).

According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, 355 people were killed by Israeli troops in the occupied territories in 2021 and another 16,500 were wounded, including elderly, women and minors.
