Peñalver arrived from Cambodia, the second stage of a tour of Southeast Asian countries that began in Vietnam.
During the meeting with Saphon, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba expressed gratitude for the multiple expressions of solidarity received from Laos in support of Cuba’s struggle to put an immediate and unconditional end to the blockade of the United States.
Last June, the top leaders of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), Miguel Díaz-Canel, and the People’s Revolutionary Party of Laos, Thongloun Sisoulith, held a videoconference in which they highlighted the increasingly consistent relations of friendship and solidarity between the two countries.
