World community closes ranks around Cristina Fernández

Buenos Aires, Sep 2 (Prensa Latina) The assassination attempt against Vice President of Argentina, Cristina Fernández, generated rejection of the international community, which described the event as inappropriate when dialogue should prevail over political differences.

The rejection of the head of state of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, was also energetic, assuring that the act seeks to destabilize the peace of Argentineans; while his Mexican counterpart, André Manuel López Obrador, described the event as “reprehensible and unfortunate”.

For his part, the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Raúl Castro, sent a message of support to Cristina Fernández on behalf of his compatriots.

“I transfer all our solidarity and support to you in the face of the vile attack on your life, with the satisfaction that you have survived this reprehensible act,” the letter said.

The president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, spoke along the same lines, including the hashtags #TodosConCristina #FuerzaCristina in his text on Twitter.

The presidents of Bolivia, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Chile, the head of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez, and Pope Francis, who from the Vatican sent a letter broadcast by the local press, also condemning the assassination attempt.

“I pray that social harmony and respect for democratic values ​​always prevail in beloved Argentina, against all kinds of violence and aggression,” highlights the message from the Bishop of Rome.
