Duarte, accompanied by the Minister of Agriculture Idael Pérez, held an exchange, in this city in the center of Cuba, with directors of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Cuban province of Villa Clara.

“The start of the planting campaign, on September 1, is a task for all the productive sectors of the territory, not only for agriculture, and no one can put obstacles in its way,” said Duarte.

The Party leader insisted on ensuring the protection of irrigation machines, with a view to producing more efficiently and achieving higher yields, as well as ensuring the availability of water and seeds for the main programs.

“When we visit the farms of producers we see there are still, in some cases, difficulties in acquiring credit and delays in the delivery of idle land, so we have to remove all these obstacles”, stressed the member of the Committee’s Secretariat Party Center.

In his intervention, Ihosvany Martín, provincial delegate of agriculture in Villa Clara, specified that after concluding spring planting, the cold stage will be faced in a land area that exceeds 34 thousand hectares.
