The statements were made by the president after talks with the United States Deputy Undersecretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, Gabriel Escobar, and the EU Special Representative for the Western Balkans, Miroslav Lajcak.
“I think that in the next few days we will be able to reach at least a small part of a compromise solution, as it is clear that it cannot be reached at all on the automatic numbers (…),” Vucic said.
The President also stated that he will continue working for the preservation of peace and the survival of the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija.
Escobar and Lajcak held two rounds of talks in Belgrade. The first ended without results at around 18:00 local time on Thursday, while the second began around midnight and ended on Friday night.
The Deputy Under Secretary of State and Special Representative of the European Union (EU) held talks with the authorities of unrecognized Kosovo in Pristina and representatives of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija.
