Lebanese Parliament asks to abide by deadline in elections

Libano-Bloque-Lealtad
Beirut, Aug 26 (Prensa Latina) The "Loyalty to the Resistance" bloc of the Lebanese parliament called to abide by the constitutional deadline for the presidential election and support the establishment of a state capable of promoting recovery in the country.

The group of deputies made a statement renewing their commitment to defending the sovereignty, security and dignity of their homeland, as well as rejecting injustice and resisting pressure from Israel.

After the ordinary meeting of the bloc, the members insisted on the urgency of reaching an understanding on the formation of an adequate government to save the country from the crisis with responsibility and far from individual interests.

“Loyalty to the Resistance” reminded all of the national obligations to achieve this right in light of a sovereign vision that preserves Lebanon’s immunity and incorporates its ability to reject subordination and adhere to the aspirations of the people.

In the economic order, the members of the bloc highlighted the importance of dealing with precision and without haste when setting the price of the customs dollar, without overloading the lives of people and the movement of the market.

They called on officials to pay attention to the treatment of situations that confuse the public interests of citizens, whether in the public administration or in the judiciary, because if it is not approached with flexible realism it will cause greater negative repercussions for society.

Since last June 29th, the Lebanese have been waiting for the integration of the cabinet, after the re-election of Najib Miqati as prime minister, and in view of the short term in office, since next month they will begin consultations in Parliament for the position of president, which that a new Council of Ministers will demand after October 31st.
