During a tour of agricultural towns in this central territory, the president visited the Julio Antonio Mella cooperative farm and spoke with its president, Magdiel Romero, who commented on how much they have achieved thanks to joint work.
He explained that the cooperative supported the remodeling of the family doctor’s office and the access roads to the neighborhood, and maintains its commitment to transforming the area.
Romero also noted the work they do to achieve the community’s food self-sufficiency, which they contribute to the municipality.
He added that the cooperative is advancing in the installation of a small industry to process root vegetables and vegetables.
Diaz-Canel considered that experiences such as those implemented in this town should be a reference and be spread throughout the country.
While meeting local residents, who came out en masse to welcome the head of State, Diaz-Canel, who is also the first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), called to transfer the beauty of the Camajuani “parrandas” (carnivals) to all the works done and praised the resistance and creativity of Cubans.

As part of the government visit to Villa Clara, the president plans to meet with residents of Vueltas and with the government’s leadership in the municipality of Camajuani.
He will also visit the Jireh-Ebenezer footwear mipyme, which makes rubber boots and flip-flops, in addition to the production areas of the Fingerling Reproduction Center.
