The sources assured that several rockets hit the Pentagon enclave in the al-Omar oil field, the largest in Syria, and against the military base located in the Koniko gas area, both located in the east of the northeastern province of Deir Ezzor.

It has not yet been confirmed whether there were casualties or material damage, but a bombardment by US drones and helicopters against the alleged launch platforms for the missiles in the town of Huejet Saker was reported.

It is the fourth attack in less than 10 days against US bases established in this nation without the consent of its authorities.

The Government of Damascus repeatedly denounced this unauthorized presence, which it described as occupation, and assured that Washington’s actions encourage terrorist activity, since separatist groups and opposition extremists are trained in its bases.
