“We are on fire. I take part of the CD “Será que Se Acabó” (It is Over) that I have not played live yet,” orchestra leader Alexander Abreu confirmed on Facebook, where he published the poster of the tour to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the group.
The first stopover during the tour will be in the capital of Serbia, Belgrade, and from there they will go to Bulgaria (Sofia), Germany (Hamburg), Finland (Helsinki), France (Paris), Italy (Florence, Mantova, Naples), the Netherlands (Amsterdam), Switzerland (Bern) and Spain (Seville, Madrid, Tenerife, Zaragoza, Barcelona, Bilbao).
The CD, coproduced by Producciones Abdala and the Spanish company Páfata, won the 2022 Cubadisco Grand Award, as well as two other awards in the Dance Music and Sound Design sections, by bringing together twenty musical hits from the 1980s and 1990s.
Founded in 2007 by Abreu, the orchestra rescued famous son and salsa songs in Cuba together with musicians Elito Reve, Manolito Simonet, Samuel Formell, Cesar Pupy Pedroso, Maykel Blanco, Alain Perez, Giraldo Piloto, Adalberto Alvarez and Jose Luis Cortes, among others.
