In current situation, the schools will not open on schedule, Israel Teachers Union leader Yafa Ben David warned after denouncing the statements by an official from the Ministry of Finance against the union.
Kobi Bar Natan threatened to take out preventive orders against us, and they will not succeed, there will be great chaos here, Ben David said.
This week, Education Minister Yifat Shasha-Biton criticized the Ministry of Finance because its authorities “do not want to reach an agreement after so many months.”
In June, thousands of teachers paralyzed their work for several days to demand better wages and other union demands.
Along with higher pay are the reforms planned by Finance to reduce the power of the Teachers Union by allowing school principals to dismiss staff without the union’s intervention.
