Nassau, Aug 17 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero and the Hon. Isaac Chester Cooper, Bahamian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Investment and Aviation, on Wednesday urged for strengthening two-way cooperation.

At a meeting held in the context of the 1st Regional Meeting of Caribbean Heads of Government, Marrero conveyed to Mr. Cooper Cuba´s willingness to strengthen different collaboration areas.

Mr. Cooper, on the other hand, agreed upon working together to guarantee the regional tourism future.

Cuban Prime Minister has been conducting an in-depth agenda since his arrival in Nassau on past Monday, including a meeting with his Grenadian counterpart Dickon Mitchell as well as with members of the Cuban State Mission and a representation of medical specialists serving in this Caribbean country, among other missions.

Marrero, speaking on Wednesday with a view to the upcoming UN Conference on Climate Change (COP27), reiterated his country’s stance on developed nations´ liability in funding the crackdown on climate change.

It´s imperative the Green Climate Fund, Global Environment Facility, Adaptation Fund and all multilateral banks simplify and harmonize the application proceedings for climate change financing, Marrero stated.
