At a meeting held in the context of the 1st Regional Meeting of Caribbean Heads of Government, Marrero conveyed to Mr. Cooper Cuba´s willingness to strengthen different collaboration areas.
Mr. Cooper, on the other hand, agreed upon working together to guarantee the regional tourism future.
Cuban Prime Minister has been conducting an in-depth agenda since his arrival in Nassau on past Monday, including a meeting with his Grenadian counterpart Dickon Mitchell as well as with members of the Cuban State Mission and a representation of medical specialists serving in this Caribbean country, among other missions.
Marrero, speaking on Wednesday with a view to the upcoming UN Conference on Climate Change (COP27), reiterated his country’s stance on developed nations´ liability in funding the crackdown on climate change.
It´s imperative the Green Climate Fund, Global Environment Facility, Adaptation Fund and all multilateral banks simplify and harmonize the application proceedings for climate change financing, Marrero stated.
