As National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue explained at the opening ceremony of the meeting, Committee members will examine draft bills on Petroleum; Prevention and fighting domestic violence; Inspection; Protection consumer rights and Prevention and fighting money laundering, all of which have been modified.
They will also consider draft bills on the Implementation of grass-roots democracy and Civil Defense, as well as the modification and supplementation of the Law on Radio Frequencies, VNA added.
The Committee will also analyze the draft Ordinance on penalties for administrative infractions for acts of obstruction of procedural activities, the draft resolutions on instruction to the supervision activities of the People’s Council, and the promulgation of the Regulation of the National Assembly’s sessions.
During the third session of the 15th Legislature, which ended in Hanoi in mid-June, the Vietnamese Parliament discussed the Petroleum bill (modified) and resolved that the drafting committee would continue to study and consult with the Government about the issue in order to update and improve the draft.
The planned Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence Law (modified), meanwhile, will contribute to upholding human rights in virtue of the 2013 Constitution and the preservation of the people’s traditional cultural values and the country’s socio-economic development in the new stage.
