“Official delegations and industrial companies from 129 countries were invited to this year’s event, to be held at the same time as the 2022 International Army Games and the 10th Moscow International Security Conference, allowing guests and participants to organize their work as efficiently as possible,” an official statement from the Ministry said.
The ministry stated that the Army-2022 will take place at the Patriot Fair Center, in the outskirts of Moscow, as well as all the military regions of the Russian Federation and the Northern Fleet, and explained that state contracts are expected to be signed with industrial companies during the event.
The CEO of the RosTec state corporation, Sergei Chemezov, confirmed that to date they have signed military contracts worth more than one billion rubles (16.3 billion dollars).
The scientific and business program of the Forum will also include a plenary session chaired by the Russian Deputy Prime Minister, Yuri Borisov, who will also direct a congress on the diversification of Russia’s military industry.
The Ministry of Defense stated that an international anti-fascist congress is planned to take place alongside the activities of the 8th edition of the Army-2022 International Technical-Military Forum in order to counteract the misrepresentation of the military history of Russia and the countries of the region.
In the opening speech of last year’s Forum, President Vladimir Putin stated that this event contributes to the development of international military cooperation, as well as makes it possible to show the world the innovative ideas and achievements of the Russian military complex in the field of high technologies.
