China-convenios-sobre-trabajo-forzado
Beijing, Aug 13 (Prensa Latina) China submitted to the International Labor Organization (ILO) the documents to ratify two important conventions on the eradication of forced labor, local media reported on Saturday.

According to several media outlets, Chinese Ambassador at the United Nations Office in Geneva Chen Xu delivered the aforementioned instruments to ILO Director General Guy Ryder on Friday.

It is about the ratification of the Forced Labor Convention, 1930 (No. 29) and the Abolition of Forced Labor Convention, 1957 (No. 105).

In April, the National People’s Congress (Parliament) gave the green light to the process, and noted that it demonstrated the Government’s firm position to protect the rights and interests in the labor sector, as well as its determination to fight illegalities in this field.
