According to Vietnam National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting (NCHMF), the weather phenomenon is moving northwest at 20 kilometers per hour.
Moderate rain, thunderstorms, tornadoes, lightning and strong winds may occur in the northwestern region, while there will be showers, thunderstorms, tornadoes and possible strong gusts of wind from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien-Hue, the southern region and Western Highlands, the NCHMF warned.
On Wednesday, Vietnamese airlines had to adjust for security reasons the flight operation plans to and from some airports that will be affected by the passing of Mulan as of this Thursday, VNA news agency reported.
The NCHMF itself warned all vessels operating in hazardous areas and aquaculture zones about the risk of being harmed by the onslaught of strong winds and high waves.
