Upon presiding over a religious ceremony, Qassem underlined that after the liberation in 2000, Hezbollah’s capacity is stronger with the mission to preserve Lebanon’s rights, especially oil and gas, despite pressures from the United States and Israel.

The deputy secretary-general clarified that the Lebanese Islamic Resistance does not act independently of its environment and the state, as it is a power choice of national officials to set the position on the demarcation of maritime borders and prevent Israel from encroaching on them.

Qassem pointed out that Hezbollah’s role and strength are complementary to the effectiveness of the Lebanese authorities’ movement to benefit from the oil and gas wealth in the face of the Israeli expansionist maneuvers.

In the face of attempts and campaigns to weaken the resistance in Lebanon and the region, Qassem reaffirmed the commitment to the rights of the people and the building of the homeland without foreign threats and the danger of occupation by Israel.
