SEMAR pointed out that it is a shipment with more than 1,600 kilograms of cocaine and three crew members of the boat were captured.
The report recalled that just a few days ago, on July 31, the Navy intercepted a speedboat laden with drugs in the Lazaro Cardenas port, and in late May, it confiscated another shipment of more than three tons of cocaine, between the coasts of Guerrero and Michoacan.
It added that the new seizure occurred in Barra de Nexpa, in Aquila municipality, when field and office works revealed the arrival of a cocaine shipment from South America, although SEMAR did not reveal the name of the country.
The detainees, the drugs and the secured vessels were handed over to the Attorney General’s Office.
