The term refers to a “wide range of creative approaches to work with sound and image and transfer or reinterpret common variables in musical composition or sound arts through image.”
Taking into account such considerations, the competition will dedicate its activities to visual music and intends in its 9th meeting to respond to the current creative trends and their transdisciplinary approaches to the artistic creation.
According to the call, natural or naturalized Latin American composers could participate with collaboration or collective works that must be submitted in digital format, under a pseudonym, with a 20-minute duration.
One single and indivisible prize will be granted. It will consist of 3,000 dollars or its equivalent in the appropriate national currency, as well as the reproduction of the work in a multimedia edition (audio, score and texts).
The winning composition and those works recommended by the jury will also be part of the Music Collection of the prestigious regional institution.
