Vo Huynh Anh Khoa ascended to the top of the awards podium in Men’s 400m Freestyle S8, followed by Le Thi Dung, in the same specialty, and Tran Quoc Phi, in Men’s 100 Breaststroke S13, VNA news agency reported.
Vietnam is represented by 122 athletes in this ASEAN sports event, taking place in three cities in Indonesia.
The aims is to achieve some 40 gold and 60 silver medals, a performance similar to that achieved in the previous edition, held in Malaysia in 2017.
In the ongoing competition, which will run until August 7, Vietnamese competitors will showcase their skills in eight of 14 disciplines: athletics, swimming, weightlifting, badminton, table tennis, chess, judo and archery.
