According to MINSAP, 10,683,948 citizens have received a dose of homegrown vaccines, while 9,419,846 people have already have the second dose and 9,121,414 were administered the third dose.
Cuba has accumulated 39,276,842 administered doses of the homegrown Soberana 02, Soberana Plus and Abdala vaccines.
In addition, 7,443,429 people have received the reinforcement dose, the MINSAP reported.
Cuba’s vaccines are safe and do not cause serious adverse effects, according to successful clinical trials and vaccination of different segments of the population.
According to the National Office of Statistics and Information, the Cuban population at the end of 2020 was about 11.18 million inhabitants.
