Both sales abroad and purchases in the reference period showed growths from one to the other year: in the first case, they were estimated at 216.35 billion dollars, an increase of 16.1 percent, and in the second case, they totaled 215.59 billion dollars (13.6 percent).
The main market for Vietnamese products was the United States, which purchased goods worth 67.1 billion dollars, while China was the market from which the bulk of imports came, valued at 72.6 billion dollars.
