The Russian Foreign Ministry confirmed on its official website that both representatives held a phone conversation on Friday.

In this regard, it explained that both senior officials tackled down on the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, in which Lavrov explained Moscow’s principles of the special military operation underway in the self-proclaimed people’s republics of Donetsk (DPR) and Lugansk (RPL).

Lavrov told his US counterpart that the continuous Ukrainian bombardment by using US and NATO weapons, extends “Kyiv´s death throes”.

Likewise, Lavrov stressed that “the Russian Armed Forces strictly comply with the norms of international law and also launched a systematic work to return to a peaceful life.”
