In Venezuela, the Hugo Chavez Higher Education Institute of Thought organized a varied program to commemorate the date, among them a lecture on the feminist thought of the leader, whose creativity and courage broke stereotypes and preconceptions.
The so-called anniversary week in Venezuela also included the artistic-cultural event “Canto para Chavez,” in which authorities and prominent figures from Barinas, the state where the founder of the V Republic Movement was born on July 28, 1954, participated.
The homage included children from Merida state, who painted Simon Bolivar, one of the precursors of the independence of several Latin American nations, founder of Gran Colombia and Bolivia and precursor of the regional integrationist idea.
