Ankara increased in the past two days its provocations and aggression against several localities and military positions, the military command stressed in a statement released by the official SANA news agency.
It added that the troops are in full readiness to face any possible aggression, including from their “mercenary radical organizations”.
A few hours before the release of this statement, the media reported intense Turkish shelling with heavy artillery and rockets against several localities in northern Aleppo province, in particular, the town of Tal Rifat and the village of Um al-Hosh.
The attacks injured three farmers and caused huge material losses to homes and public and private properties.
Turkish military and the so-called local “National Army” militia operating under their command escalated their raids against northern Syria in recent days, amid growing threats by Ankara to launch an offensive against Kurdish militias.
Since 2018, Turkey and its illegal armed groupings managed through three operations dubbed Olive Branch, Fountain of Peace and Euphrates Shield to control extensive areas in the Syrian provinces of Idlib, Aleppo, Raqa and Hasakeh.
