Through a statement, the political body endorsed the equation put forward by Hizbulah (Party of God) Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah that Israel is barred from extracting oil in the fields on the southern border if it does not allow Lebanon to take advantage of its water resources.

In its regular meeting at the headquarters of the Independent Nasserite Movement (Al Mourabitoun), the Coordination Committee reinforced the Islamic Resistance’s might to defend Lebanon in the maritime dispute against Israel and in that sense, called on the authorities to accompany this patriotic stance as the only chance to break the US encirclement of the nation.

The personalities supported the Hizbulah leader’s offer to obtain free Iranian fuel to operate the country’s power plants and alleviate the living conditions of the Lebanese amid the worsening economic and financial crisis.

They called on all stakeholders to accelerate the formation of the government to start addressing the collapse impacting the interests of citizens, while calling on relevant ministries and institutions to take the lead in finding solutions.

They rejected the sectarian incitement attempts promoted by the Lebanese Forces Party (Christian) and the Committee’s commitment to the stability of the country and the struggle for its rights in the face of Israeli pressures.
