A group of 16 Cuban doctors are giving their friendly assistance within the framework of a cooperation agreement signed between the Ministries of Health from the two countries in 2021.
The two island nations penned an agreement in Havana in December 2021 to expand medical collaboration and send to Maldives a brigade that currently provides services throughout the country, including remote regions.
At present, 16 Cuban doctors are working in this nation but the number of physicians and nurses will increase soon, Cuban Ambassador Andres Gonzalez told Prensa Latina.
