French solidarity mobilizes in support of Cuba

Paris, Jul 23 (Prensa Latina) French social, political and trade union organizations and Cuban residents were convened to the Republic Square in Paris in support of Cuba against aggressions such as the US blockade.

The solidarity association Cuba Si France launched the call for mobilization at the beginning of the month, which was joined by France Cuba and Cuba Linda, the French Communist Party, the Europa por Cuba YouTube channel and sectors of the General Confederation of Labor.

The meeting is part of the celebrations of Cuba’s National Rebellion Day, which recalls the assault on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks of the troops of the dictator Fulgencio Batista, on July 26th, 1953.

“Our Cuban brethren need us,” the call stresses, and demands an end to the blockade imposed by the United States.
