The permanent working commissions of the ANPP meet at the Conference Center in Havana, to discuss 39 issues related to 52 Guidelines of the Economic and Social Policy of the Communist Party of Cuba and the Revolution, and the National Plan for the Economic and Social Development until 2030.
The commissions analyze the implementation of laws related to foreign investment, international cooperation, criminal proceedings and the development of renewable energy sources.
They also verify the import distribution chain, creation and use of new capacities for tourism, results of the last sugar harvest, and adoption of measures to recover beef production.
The legislators review compliance with public programs and policies such as housing and drinking water supply, as well as the operation of pharmacies and opticians’ shops.
The ANPP will meet in plenary session as of July 21, when it will have on its agenda the progress of the economy in the first half of 2022 and the execution of the State budget during 2021.
On July 23, the lawmakers will again debate, for approval, the draft of the new Family Code (version 25), and will decide the rules and date of a national referendum on the definitive text.
