Tamaulipas, Mexico, back in the red due to rebound in Covid-19 cases

México, Tamaulipas, Covid-19, casos, alza
Mexico City, Jul 19 (Prensa Latina) The Mexican state of Tamaulipas decreed a red epidemiological level, which represents the greatest contagion threat as a result of unstoppable rise in Covid-19.

259 new infections were reported in the state in the last 24 hours, and although no patients have died, health authorities called on the population not to lower their guard because the wave, the fifth, is much more aggressive contagion-wise.

The Secretary of Health, Gloria Molina, called for extreme preventive measures and not to be overconfident since “everything is Covid-19 until proven otherwise,” she said in reference to a coincidence in an outbreak of influenza in the country.

Molina asked to reinforce actions such as wearing masks, washing hands, respecting distance, washing and disinfecting objects and surfaces for common use to protect oneself from the virus and diseases such as influenza, severe acute hepatitis, monkeypox, diarrhea or respiratory infections.

According to analyses, the current behavior of the Covid-19 pandemic is similar to that of the third wave, a period in which up to 4,200 Respiratory Care Modules were enabled.

It was also announced that the Covid-19 permit remains in force for those who require disability due to the coronavirus disease, and the need to vaccinate homeless people who number tens of thousands throughout the country was admitted.

Despite the great scope of the measures implemented by the Federal Government for the application of the vaccine in the entire population of the country, there is still no fully established strategy for the inoculation of said group.
