The new outbreak and other coronavirus variants spreading globally requires the DPRK government and all domestic health centers to pay critical attention to reinforcing prophylactic discipline and keeping defense against coronavirus contagion and proliferation in neighboring nations, the agency reported.

According to the agency, the DPRK´s public health authorities ensured early treatment through zonal medical assistance system, and sent health personnel to the corresponding zones to solve problems that may arise.

The agency added that, on the other hand, scientific research bodies are making a great effort to forecast the outbreak and possible spread of new variants, with the timely administration of antiviral drugs for more than 10 strains.
