At this time of the year, diarrhea cases skyrocketed, arriving from 1,000 to 1,500 people at the Kabul hospital. Each doctor assists from 50 to 60 patients per day, Dr. Abdulrahman Jawad told the TOLO news.
Killing hot weather and no care to personal hygiene are major reasons for the increased cases, according to doctors.
“People shouldn’t drink dirty water and have to wash veggies and soak them in salt water for five minutes,” said Dr. Aliya.
Some parents who brought their children for medical treatment at the Kabul hospital said they were suddenly infected.
Afghanistan is currently facing up a serious humanitarian situation, with millions of people suffering from hunger following the US sanctions, which forced to cut billions of dollars in development aid.
