The decree signed by the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Mishustin, and posted on the official legal information website, states that the limitation of border transit through automobile, railway, pedestrian, river and mixed checkpoints is annulled.
Mishustin also approved as of this Friday a decree that annuls the restrictions applied by the pandemic on the entry of foreigners to Russia.
Since July 1st, the Russian health regulator Rospotrebnadzor canceled all internal restrictions that were introduced to halt the spread of coronavirus.
The health entity posted a statement on its website specifying that the mandatory use of masks and the prohibition of the operation of cafes and restaurants at night, among other measures, were revoked.
Rospotrebnadzor explained that the decision is based on the reduction of the spread of the pathogen and the mild form in which the disease has manifested itself for several months.
“Almost all cases of Covid-19 in Russia are mild or asymptomatic,” the agency said, and went to state that the situation will remain under its control, and that if necessary they can enable the measures once again, depending on the epidemiological behavior in the country.
