Upon presenting her credentials to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh for the beginning of her term of office, the senior official also said that Vietnam has been an example of cooperation between the UN and a developing country.
Tamesis congratulated the Vietnamese Government’s efforts and achievements in both the response to the Covid-19 pandemic and the socio-economic recovery, in the spirit of “leaving no one behind.”
The expert pointed out that 2022 is the first year of the implementation of the Framework for Sustainable Development Cooperation between both sides in the 2022-2026 phase, and assured that she will do her best to promote the assistance of UN organizations in the sustainable socio-economic development and the post-pandemic recovery.
Minh Chinh, for his part, noted that in the current context of great challenges, a global approach to international problems and strengthening solidarity and multilateralism are necessary.
