These unique relations became a heritage and a foundation for the binational ties in the future, the official stressed in remarks to VNA news agency, on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation between the two countries and the 60 years of diplomatic relations.
The collaboration not only helps Laos and Vietnam improve the people’s living standards, but also raises the two nations’ position in the regional and international arena, Phomvihane assessed and stressed that the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and the LPRP continue to maintain close ties at all levels.
The head of External Relation Committee also thanked the CPV, the State and the people of Vietnam for their valuable and timely assistance to the Lao national liberation struggle in the past, as well as in the defense and nation-building enterprise today.
According to Phomvihane, in the context of the complicated and unpredictable development of the global and regional situation, the two countries need to strengthen the mutual political trust and continue to deepen the bilateral ties, particularly in the pillars of defense, security and diplomacy.
