Cubans in Italy express love and support for their country (+Photos)

Rome, Jul 11 (Prensa Latina) The Cuban community in Italy reaffirmed today with acts in various cities the defense of their homeland and support for the government in the face of attacks by their enemies, said a spokeswoman for the group.

Niurka Pico, a member of the Coordinator of Cubans residing in this European nation (Conaci), reported that for this purpose a large group of compatriots living in northern Italy gathered at 11:00 local time in front of the Consulate of the Caribbean island in Milan.

“We show our unconditional support for our President and our country,” the activist told Prensa Latina.

Dozens of Italians joined solidarity organizations such as the Italy-Cuba Friendship Association (Anaic) and Potere al Popolo, among others, the spokeswoman said.

With Cuban flags and posters with revolutionary slogans, the attendees expressed their support for that nation and the rejection of the disinformation campaigns and the interventionist maneuvers orchestrated by the United States government.
