The head of the Russian National Center for Defense Control, General Mikhail Mizintsev, reported to the press that the militants of the nationalist Pravy Sektor battalion, along with foreign mercenaries, have settled in a school in the location of New York, in the People’s Republic of Donetsk, where they have emplaced artillery pieces and multiple rocket launcher systems. The residents of nearby houses are being held by the Ukrainian troops on the school grounds with the pretext of guaranteeing security, the General added.

Mizintsev added that in the municipality of Zheleznoye, also in the DPR, there militants of the Aidar national battalion have set up checkpoints and firing positions at the access points to the School No.13. He added that the locals were not evacuated and are being used by the nationalists as “human shields”.

The General also reported that in the Kharkov region, the nationalists have set up firing positions and ammunition depots on the lower and upper floors of residential apartment buildings.

The nationalists have also mined the sides of the road between the towns of Krasni Pod and Raduzhnoye in the Dnepropetrovsk region without notifying the local population, he denounced.

Mizintsev assured that Russia continues to notify the world community and international organizations of all the inhuman provocations prepared by the Ukrainian authorities, as a result of which civilians may suffer. He also stressed that it is obvious that the Kiev regime will use a preset scenario to accuse the Russian units of attacking indiscriminately and causing the death of civilians.

In his words, these facts demonstrate once again the ruthless attitude of the Government of Ukraine towards the fate of its citizens and the total disregard of international humanitarian law. Despite repeated statements by the Russian Inter-Agency Coordination Center for Humanitarian Response, these cynical actions by the Kiev regime continue to be ignored by the world community.
