Through his official Twitter account, the Head of State sent a message in which he invites them to keep insisting, without discouragement.
“I heard that some cried when they saw the fire devouring so much effort, but that everyone ran to help put it out. A nation like that is destined to overcome all challenges. Cuba knows how to turn setbacks into victory,” the Diaz-Canel wrote.
The day before, a fire interrupted the final tests being carried out to synchronize block two of the power plant located in the eastern province of Holguín with the National Electric System.
According to its general director Osmel Maturel Reyes, block 2 of Felton has considerable damages that are not easy to fix.
Maturel Reyes said the fire occurred due to a leak in one of the boiler pipes through which domestic crude oil was circulating.
