The foreign minister expressed his condemnation after the White House announced visa restrictions for 28 Cuban officials as part of its coercive policy, together with the tightening of the economic, commercial and financial blockade.
Through his official Twitter account, the foreign minister affirmed that “in view of the failure of the attempt to provoke a people uprising in Cuba in 2021, the US government and its Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, are now seeking to discredit the popular triumph in the face of imperialist aggression”.
The head of diplomacy insisted that Washington’s repeated measures are acts in violation of international law and the United Nations Charter.
Blinken reported Saturday that, in accordance with Presidential Proclamation 5377, a total of 28 government employees and members of the Communist Party of Cuba are banned from entering U.S. territory.
