According to a statement of the Chinese Government, Foreign Minister Wang Yi reached this consensus with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken when they spoke on Saturday on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Bali, Indonesia.
The parties decided to be reciprocal and create conditions for the work of their respective diplomatic and consular missions, restore cultural exchanges and coordinate more on issues related to the Asia-Pacific region.
While the two described the talks as comprehensive, candid and constructive, during the meeting they reviewed the state of bilateral relations and each commented on their governments’ positions on sensitive issues.
Wang rejected Washington’s provocations, called for abandoning confrontation and urged it to do more to clean up the nexus of misunderstandings and clashes.
