Plan to boycott Russia at G20 forum failed

Rusia-foro-del-G20
Moscow, Jul 8 (Prensa Latina) The spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zajárova, confirmed today that the intention of Western countries to organize a boycott against Moscow at the G20 ministerial meeting failed.

Zajárova revealed the existence of an “order” to boycott the Russian representation at any cost during the meeting of foreign ministers of the Group of 20 (G20) countries, held in Bali, Indonesia.

“First they invented the story they did not want to participate in the photo session if Russia was there. But they understood that they were in the absolute minority”, she said.

If from 20 there are seven left, 13 remain, and these 13 did not want to organize any boycott, they intended to work constructively. Hence they failed and led to the isolation of the G7, she said.

The spokeswoman added that the issue of excluding Moscow was also aimed at Western reporters, who ran around the room to try to capture any situation of difference that could be orchestrated.

In that sense, the official from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs pointed out there was no boycott on the Russian side, “it is not our method,” she emphasized.

“All this shows that the fate of the planet is not of interest to the leaders of the liberal regimes, who -prey to the colonial mentality- only pursue the interest of imposing their domination on all others and to rule the universe, without attracting the attention of the health team,” she argued.

Zajárova stressed that the organizers of the G20 ministerial meeting did their best to ensure that this activity took place at the highest level and that all the points on its agenda were discussed.

Previously, the spokeswoman announced that the Russian delegation would promote the analysis of pressing issues related to the consolidation of the principles of multilateralism in conditions of a polycentric world order, as well as the increase in food and energy security.
