A DPC statement released by various local media indicates that in the next few hours the winds and rains will continue in several Italian towns, which have already forced the application of the orange alert in Molise and Puglia.
The yellow alert was established for the Lazio region, in which Rome is located, as well as those of Calabria, Abruzzo, Basilicata and Campania.
The Florence emergency services reported that bad weather is causing serious damage in that city, about 200 kilometers north of this capital, as well as in the towns of Figline Valdarno, Reggello, Fiesole and Vicchio, among others.
The bad weather is heading south, where high-density thunderstorms are expected throughout Friday, adds the official report.
